Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Kutná Hora Crystalline. Nature Reserve in the Protected Landscape Area. Rocky promontory overlooking a dam lake. A ruin of the Oheb Castle from the 14th century dominates this area. Rock complex consists of orthogneisses and migmatites (also called the Oheb Gneiss,the Oheb Crystalline represents local geological unit belonging to the Kutná Hory Crystalline). The gneiss is reddish, with schistose disintegration, locally deeply weathered. Thick cover of colluvial deposits and block fields.
